JAŸ-Z Chooses Himself For Super Bowl LXI Halftime

After spending much of 2026 celebrating 30 years of Reasonable Doubt with sold-out shows around the world, JAŸ-Z is headed to the biggest stage in American sports. Apple Music, the NFL and Roc Nation confirmed rampant speculation Monday night (Oct. 26) that the rapper and Roc Nation mogul will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The booking fulfills a long-held wish of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who said he asked JAŸ-Z to perform when the league first partnered with Roc Nation to produce the halftime show in 2019.

“When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that JAŸ-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him,” Goodell said. “I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage.”

JAŸ-Z will have the fun challenge of distilling decades of hits into his 13-minute segment, which is sure to feature some eye-popping special guests. One natural guess is his wife and fellow superstar Beyoncé, who popped up with her husband during his 30th anniversary celebration show in July in at New York’s Yankee Stadium — one of three sold-out shows there.

The run just concluded with two nights at SoFi, featuring surprise appearances by Too $hort, John Legend, DJ Khaled, his daughter Blue Ivy Carter and the iconic West Coast hip-hop duo Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. JAŸ-Z also staged guest-packed gigs in London and Paris, with help from Fugees’ Wyclef Jean and Ms. Lauryn Hill, Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake.

“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” the rapper said. “Thirty years of music, work and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”

Roc Nation will executive produce the show, with Hamish Hamilton directing. The game and halftime performance will air on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, with mobile viewing available through NFL+. Spanish-language broadcasts will be available on ESPN Deportes, Disney+ and Univision.
