The Dallas Cowboys kept on trying to win against the Philadelphia Eagles even after the game ended on Monday. Following the Cowboys' 38-21 beatdown of Philadelphia in a Monday Night Football showdown at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the sound of Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams and Nightmares' could be heard blaring from the visiting team's locker room.

That song has become a rallying anthem for the Eagles, but it surely doesn't sound right coming from a visiting team's locker room, especially when that team is an NFC East rival. But the intention behind why the Cowboys played that song wasn't really a big secret. They simply were cherishing a huge win against a bitter division rival.

The game was close until the second half, when the Cowboys scored 18 points to Philadelphia's seven.

Dallas star quarterback Dak Prescott passed for 212 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 15-of-27 completions, while running back Javonte Williams had a night himself. Williams gashed the Eagles' defense for 155 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Meanwhile, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb caught two touchdowns for the Cowboys, who snapped a two-game losing skid and improved to 3-4.

As for the Eagles, they just couldn't get it together for an entire game. Tanner McKee started again with Jalen Hurts down for the rest of the season, and he went 23-of-35 for 211 passing yards and a touchdown plus an interception. The loss was the Eagles' fifth in a row and dropped them to 2-5.

The Cowboys return to action in a Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
