Jay-Z has picked the headliner of the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show: himself. The rapper, whose entertainment company Roc Nation partnered with the NFL in 2019, has served as a producer of the event, but “thought it would be selfish to pick myself too early,” he said in a 2024 interview.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey,” Jay-Z said in a press release. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”
Next year’s Super Bowl LXI will take place on February 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game airs on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes, with streaming available on Disney+.
