Nicolo Tresoldi in an Everton kit
Nicolo Tresoldi in an Everton kit
The Blues are in desperate need of a new centre-forward, with Thierno Barry the sole striker at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes will certainly be keen to strengthen in that department in January, with sights set on qualifying for Europe.
Finding the right profile will be important, with the finances also needing to make sense for the Toffees.
There will be plenty of factors the Blues consider before making any significant financial commitment to a new number nine.
With Club Brugge's Tresoldi potentially coming at less than what was first reported.
Everton handed fresh hope as Nicolo Tresoldi valuation comes in lower
Everton could still be in with hope of bringing Tresoldi to Hill Dickinson stadium.
Previous reports on Everton's interest have noted a £53million valuation of Tresoldi, and that the Merseyside club had gone to watch him in action live.
A purchase point which likely would have priced the German youth international out of a move to L3.
But now, Tuttomercato have shared that the Club Brugge star could be available for as low as £41.8m.
However, Everton need another centre-forward as soon as possible, but as things stand, neither Club Brugge nor Tresoldi are looking to part ways in January.
Instead, a move in summer 2027 is expected to be a more likely time for a decision to be made.
What would Everton get in Tresoldi?
If Everton managed to snap up the signature of Tresoldi, they would be getting quite the talent.
His Club Brugge manager, Ivan Leko, has mentioned the work ethic and professionalism that the forward brings, and not only his on-pitch quality.
In an interview with Flashscore, he stated: "He is always the first to arrive at the training ground and the last to leave. Everything he does is done with conviction and a drive to improve.
"On the pitch, he has exceptional qualities. He is a very complete striker who can score goals, link up play, press aggressively and take real responsibility during the game."
Whether Everton do make their move for the forward remains to be seen. Tresoldi is one of the most sought-after strikers on the market.
Clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Leeds and Newcastle have been scouting him, while Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus have done the same.
It is one to keep an eye on, and based on the reported valuation, he could put Everton back in the mix.
