On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Colts sent a jolt through the NFL world when they traded Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a package centered around draft compensation. The move could be the first in a series of transactions for a Colts team that clearly isn't competing for anything other than a top draft pick this year.

Later in the day on Tuesday, the Colts took to social media with a hype video around rookie running back Seth McGowan.

Meanwhile, fans in the comment section on X, formerly Twitter, were convinced that the post was a sign that a trade of veteran running back Jonathan Taylor could be on the horizon in the wake of the Nelson news.

“Trade JT and let this man cook!!” wrote one fan.

“Jt gone, confirmed lol they hyping the rook,” chimed in another.

If the Colts were indeed to explore moving Taylor, they would likely have plenty of suitors, as the running back remains among the best in the league at his position, despite the overall struggles of the team this year.

Indianapolis currently sits at 2-5 on the campaign after Sunday's uninspiring loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and they have several talented pieces remaining on the roster that could theoretically net them some big compensation packages in potential trades.

With the team already behind the eight-ball in the standings, it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see the Indianapolis brass consider further moves.

In any case, the Colts will next hit the field on Sunday for a tough divisional game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
