Tottenham Hotspur discover just how much it will take to sign Otavio, after keeping a close eye on the goalkeeping starlet over recent months.
Antonin Kinsky was rewarded with a new Spurs contract and the number one role on the back of his heroics at the end of last season.
While he has largely been excellent on the ball this term, and has allowed Roberto De Zerbi’s side to play out from the back, the young goalkeeper has had a few shaky moments.

Currently, the 37-year-old Martin Dubravka is the only backup that Spurs have to Kinsky, but the Czech shot-stopper may soon have some competition to contend with.

Tottenham battling Nottingham Forest for Cruzeiro goalkeeper Otavio
It first emerged earlier this month that Spurs’ scouts are keeping an eye on Brazilian goalkeeper Otavio, who has displaced veteran Cássio as Cruzeiro’s number one over recent months.
The 20-year-old’s impressive performances in the Brasileirão Série A have even seen him break into the Seleção side, and according to a new update from TEAMtalk, his performances have piqued the interest of several European clubs.
The report claims that both Spurs and Nottingham Forest have sent scouts recently to watch the young goalkeeper in action, and have been impressed.
Forest even failed with a €13m (£11m) offer for Otavio in the summer, which was deemed to be well short of Cruzeiro’s valuation.
Both Premier League clubs could push forward with a January move, but they could also face competition from the continent.
The shot-stopper’s recent displays have also brought him to the attention of Napoli, FC Porto and Borussia Dortmund, with the German club even making enquiries about his availability ahead of the winter.
Eintracht Frankfurt and Botafogo also showed interest in the Brazilian earlier, but their interest has failed to progress.
How much is Otavio expected to cost in January?
TEAMtalk reveal that Cruzeiro have moved to tie down their starlet, handing him a new contract back in August which runs until 2031.
The Brazil international’s new deal contains a release clause of €100m (£84m), which means Cruzeiro’s asset is well protected and they are under no pressure to sell.
The website asserts that it would take an offer of €25–€30m (£21m-£25m) to bring the Brazilian club to the negotiating table for the goalkeeper.
