Everton prospective buyers will know that David Moyes can guarantee them the money earned by staying in the Premier League.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) is looking to sell the Toffees less than two years after buying the club from Farhad Moshiri for around £400million.

Led by Dan Friedkin, the American consortium is looking for around £800m to sell Everton after stabilising the club's finances and overseeing the completion of their move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Moyes' side enjoyed a superb start to the season but have lost their last two games without scoring a goal, with leftover frustrations from the summer beginning to seep in.

The Scot was left short in several areas of his squad, with his most prominent attacker, Iliman Ndiaye, sold on transfer deadline day.

TFG will not be 'shelling out big fees for players'

Many Everton fans have grown tired of repetitive seasons, with the new Premier League campaign already beginning to have a familiar pattern.

But for the type of progress that Everton fans crave, their new owners will need to have the same ambition.

"David Moyes is trying to build a football club and the owners from two years ago are now looking to sell it," King told Football Insider.

"So they're not going to be shelling out big fees for players, if they want to sell the football club. The only guarantee that they can give a buyer is that they're in the Premier League and they're going to get that £280 million every year with David Moyes there, starting money.

"They're certainly not going to give them FA Cups and Premierships, are they? I think they'll win Thursday and lose on Monday.

David Moyes priority in question

While Everton fans will hope on Thursday to see their team put everything into beating Newcastle and progressing in the Carabao Cup, it is unclear whether Moyes shares the same attitude.

In August, the Scot controversially asked: "Of course we all want to win the cups. Yes the cups are hugely important, would it be more important than staying in the Premier League?

"I'll ask you the question: Is winning a cup more important than staying in the Premier League? What would your answer be?

For fans, while their Premier League status is not to be taken for granted, the sight of Everton lifting a trophy is one of great desire.
