Officials, Team Changes And Talking Points At Anfield
Darren England has the whistle for Wednesday’s game. Iraola will likely rest a few starters and give Giorgi Mamardashvili a run in goal behind Joe Gomez and Konstantinos Tsimikas. Summer signings Ronald Araujo and Jeremy Jacquet should stay at the back, with Trey Nyoni, Rio Ngumoha, and Lewis Koumas starting. Bradley Barcola and Cody Gakpo can lead the attack.

Alonso also has doubts over Joao Pedro after a training knock, while Reece James and Jamie Gittens miss the trip. Young keeper Mike Penders should keep his place despite gifting Tottenham a goal on Saturday. Former Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson could also start in midfield at his old home alongside Moises Caicedo and Danny Welbeck. A win sends Liverpool into the last eight.
