Folarin Balogun was set to join Everton on transfer deadline day in September.
However, the deal fell through at the final stage as Everton reportedly identified an issue with Balogun’s medical.
The Toffees were still prepared to go through with the deal, but Balogun was unhappy with his treatment and decided to leave Finch Farm.
The USA international remained an AS Monaco player, but it’s now being reported that he could be on the move in the January transfer window.
What are your thoughts on a potential move for Marcus Rashford? 👀 Everton and Man United are said to be in talks over January move…
@rimmerone Yeah this is bob on mate... just can't see it happening from a footballing perspective and also financial
Grealish plays on the left 300k a week george plays on the left better ,now Rashford plays on the right 350k, what are going to do give them 30 minute each
@robi I totally agree, I thinj we need a striker, nir a winger, ive mentioned in previous comments, but If we were to go for a winger, the 22yr old Garnacho, now I know he is only now starting to find form again, but he could POTENTIALLY be good for us. But like I said a striker would be better.
Juventus make Folarin Balogun their prime transfer target
Balogun has played just 74 minutes of football this season as he’s been plagued by an ankle injury, so he’s yet to score his first goal.

However, despite a slow start, it’s being reported by Italian outlet Tuttosport that Juventus have made the 25-year-old their prime target ahead of the winter window.
Juve have a great relationship with Balogun’s agent Jorge Mendes, so the European powerhouse may be able to strike a deal with Monaco for a discounted fee.
Balogun was due to join Everton in a £40m deal, but Luciano Spalletti’s side could negotiate that asking price down significantly.
Who could Everton sign in January instead of Folarin Balogun?
Everton are expected to sign a striker in January, and will of course have to pivot from their initial plan to sign Balogun.
The Toffees have been consistently linked with Troy Parrott over the last 12 months, so the board may reignite their interest in the Real Betis frontman.
Parrott, who netted 31 goals for AZ Alkmaar last season, has been in and out of the Real Betis team since arriving in the summer.
The Republic of Ireland international has always spoken about his desire to return to the Premier League, so now may be the time to pursue the deal.
Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford is also being linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium and could be an option for David Moyes up front.
Although, Toffees fans have concerns over whether Rashford is the right fit for the club.
