Arsenal faces the possibility of losing back-to-back games, as their next opponent after that shambolic loss to Fleetwood Town is Liverpool, with the match to be played at Anfield. The Gunners were uninspiring in midweek and became the latest victims of a giant-killing in a cup competition after Fleetwood beat them on penalties.
Arsenal must recover quickly, but the task does not get any easier. Their next opponents are Liverpool in the Premier League, and the Reds are enjoying a fine run of form. Mikel Arteta needs his best players available and has been hopeful of recovering several individuals who missed the defeat to Fleetwood.
Rice and Madueke Could Return
Having confirmed that Declan Rice was injured, supporters have been eager to learn whether he will be ready to face Liverpool. As reported by Standard Sports, the Gunners expect the Englishman to be fit for the match against the Reds, and they also believe Noni Madueke will be available.
Both players remain doubts for the huge clash, but there are still several days before kick-off. The report states that Arsenal could have both stars back in contention before the match begins, which would provide a timely boost for Arteta.

A Difficult Trip to Anfield
Arsenal’s record at Anfield makes the fixture even more demanding, as they have not won there since 2012. Facing a confident Liverpool side away from home requires intensity, organisation and composure, particularly after such a disappointing cup exit.
Even so, Arsenal have the players capable of securing their first victory at Anfield since 2012. If Rice and Madueke return, Arteta will have greater options in midfield and attack, strengthening his chances of fielding a competitive side. Fans will hope the Gunners can respond strongly, restore their confidence, and return to North London with all three points.
