Everton are exploring a deal to sign Manchester United wide player Marcus Rashford.

It’s being reported that Everton have already held talks with Man United chiefs ahead of the January transfer window.

Rashford, who enjoyed a productive spell at Barcelona last year, has found it difficult to make a mark in Michael Carrick’s side this term.

The 28-year-old has failed to register a single goal or an assist in his eight appearances, so the Toffees’ interest has certainly raised a few eyebrows.

That said, one Everton star will be gutted after hearing David Moyes is looking at a deal to sign the United forward.

What are your thoughts on a potential move for Marcus Rashford? 👀 Everton and Man United are said to be in talks over January move…

@rimmerone Yeah this is bob on mate... just can't see it happening from a footballing perspective and also financial

Grealish plays on the left 300k a week george plays on the left better ,now Rashford plays on the right 350k, what are going to do give them 30 minute each

@robi I totally agree, I thinj we need a striker, nir a winger, ive mentioned in previous comments, but If we were to go for a winger, the 22yr old Garnacho, now I know he is only now starting to find form again, but he could POTENTIALLY be good for us. But like I said a striker would be better.

Tyler Dibling will be gutted with the Marcus Rashford news

It’s quite surprising to learn that Moyes is interested in Rashford, as he has a number of wide options at his disposal.

Tyrique George and Tyler Dibling are both really promising young talents who are currently pushing Jack Grealish and Brennan Johnson.

If Rashford were to join, Dibling in particular would move even further down the pecking order, and perhaps it’d even force him to consider a departure, just 14 months after joining in a £40m transfer from Southampton.

Dibling has impressed in cameos this term but has still yet to start a Premier League game. In fact, he’s only had one league start throughout the entirety of 2026.

Everton fans have been baffled by Dibling’s treatment, and this rumour further amplifies the idea that Moyes doesn’t really have a plan for him.

The 20-year-old was linked with a move to RB Leipzig in the summer, so the Bundesliga outfit may come back in for him in January.

A telling couple of months lie ahead for the Everton youngster, who still has time to change the course of his career on Merseyside.

Dibling is expected to start against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, so he’ll have to produce a masterclass to even be considered.

That seems to be what it’ll take for the Scotsman to consider him for a Premier League start, despite Johnson underperforming since arriving from Crystal Palace.
