Arteta at Anfield edit - Liverpool v Arsenal
Arsenal travel to Liverpool on Sunday for a Premier League meeting that follows a damaging exit from the Carabao Cup.
The Premier League champions lost on penalties at fourth-tier Fleetwood Town in the fourth round on Tuesday.
The tie finished 1-1 and Fleetwood won the shoot-out 5-3. Arsenal are the first reigning Premier League champions to be knocked out of the League Cup by a fourth-tier side.
Aaron Loupalo-Bi put Fleetwood ahead after 21 minutes against a heavily changed Arsenal side. Viktor Gyokeres equalised in the 50th minute. Max Dowman was then sent off, and Bruno Guimarães missed the decisive spot-kick.
Dowman faces a three-match suspension, which would rule him out of the Liverpool game, and Arsenal are reported to have appealed.
Arteta also has fitness problems.

Riccardo Calafiori and Noni Madueke missed the Fleetwood tie through injury, while Declan Rice finished the 2-0 win over Everton with a problem. Madueke was out with an ankle issue.
Rice was replaced by Martin Zubimendi in the 80th minute against Everton after appearing to hold his hamstring. He was pictured training on Monday, and Arteta is expected to give a fuller update at his press conference on Friday.
Bukayo Saka also remains out with a quadriceps injury sustained against Bayern Munich. Arteta said before the Everton game that it would be “weeks” and that another scan was needed because of fluid in the area.
The game kicks off at 4.30pm on Sunday 1 November.
Arsenal also carry a long-running record into the fixture.
According to Opta Analyst, they have gone 13 Premier League away games against Liverpool without a win. The record stands at five draws and eight defeats.
