Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday in a Premier League meeting between the fourth- and second-placed teams.
Andoni Iraola’s side have 15 points from eight league games, with four wins, three draws and one defeat. Arsenal have 21 points after winning seven of their eight.
Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0 at Anfield last weekend, their first home league win of the season.
Florian Wirtz’s shot, deflected in by Pascal Gross, and Alexander Isak’s finish from a Bradley Barcola cross settled the match in the first half.
On Wednesday, Liverpool beat Chelsea 6-5 on penalties at Anfield after a 1-1 draw to reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. Morgan Rogers put Chelsea ahead from the penalty spot, and Cody Gakpo equalised with a spot-kick of his own.
Liverpool FC have also announced that the Arsenal game is the men’s team’s designated remembrance fixture.
The women’s team will host Arsenal at Anfield in the Barclays Women’s Super League on Remembrance Sunday, November 8, at 12pm GMT.
A period of silence will precede kick-off at both games. Current service and ex-service personnel and standard bearers will take part, and a bugler will play the Last Post.
Players will wear home shirts with the Remembrance Day poppy. All players will sign the shirts, and the club will auction them to raise funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Liverpool will also back the appeal through the matchday programme and the perimeter LED boards. An LFC Royal British Legion poppy pin is on sale in the club’s stores and online, and all proceeds from the pin go directly to the charity.
Liverpool supporters raised £98,471 for the 2025 Poppy Appeal. The money came from the match-worn shirt auction for the men’s and women’s teams and from sales of the 2025 poppy pin.
The club works with Merseyside Royal British Legion representatives and supports the charity’s work through the LFC Foundation’s Military Veterans project.
