The winger has started just two games across all competitions this season so far, with both of them coming in the earlier rounds of the Carabao Cup.

Xabi Alonso has insisted that Estevao's time will come, but there is growing concern that the Spaniard's hesitancy to utilise him could drive the winger out of the club.

The Brazil international, who joined officially in the summer of 2025 in a deal worth up to around £51million, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033.

But should he look to force his way out, Chelsea will have no shortage of interested suitors.

Estevao opportunity could be perfect for Arsenal

Arsenal's summer transfer window was defined by failures to sign their attacking targets.

The Premier League champions made great efforts to sign Vinicius Junior but ultimately missed out, with potential moves for Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez also falling apart.

With Tzolis now injured and Bukayo Saka set to join him, Arsenal are desperately short on the wings and in need of serious reinforcement in the January transfer window.

While Estevao would represent an exceedingly expensive option, the Brazilian's situation may well make him the perfect opportunity.

While he is a natural right-winger, the 19-year-old has occasionally played on the left during his career.

Goals against Barcelona and Liverpool showed his readiness to compete at the top level, but his season was ultimately stunted by injury.

In the time he did have on the pitch, however, his stats explained the hype. Estevao averaged 0.31 expected goals and 2.98 shots per 90 in the Premier League last season.

He created 1.7 chances per game, 3.09 successful dribbles - better than 94 per cent of other attackers - and took a remarkable 7.88 touches in the opposition box every game.

What will be a staggering loss for Chelsea will be a massive gain for Arsenal, if they can get a deal done.
