Liverpool set Federico Chiesa asking price amid interest from Serie A giants

Liverpool are preparing for a possible January departure as Federico Chiesa continues to struggle for regular opportunities under Andoni Iraola.

The Italian winger joined Liverpool from Juventus in 2024 but has struggled to establish himself at Anfield.

His 2025/26 campaign began promisingly, earning him Liverpool’s Player of the Month award in September.

However, recurring fitness problems disrupted his progress and limited his involvement throughout the remainder of the season.

Chiesa’s situation has become increasingly difficult following Iraola’s arrival and further changes to Liverpool’s attacking options.

A muscle injury sidelined him during the opening months, while the manager excluded him from the Champions League squad.

The arrival of Bradley Barcola has also increased competition for places in Liverpool’s attack.

Despite his desire to remain at Anfield, Chiesa faces growing uncertainty over his long-term future.

Several Italian clubs are now exploring the possibility of bringing the former Juventus attacker back to Serie A.

According to Fussball News, Liverpool are prepared to sell Federico Chiesa for approximately €15 million.

Inter Milan currently lead the pursuit and have already initiated informal discussions with Liverpool officials.

However, the clubs have yet to reach an agreement, with negotiations remaining at an early stage.

AC Milan are also monitoring Chiesa as Ruben Amorim considers additional attacking options amid injury concerns.

Roma, Atalanta and Lazio have similarly expressed interest in securing the 29-year-old during the winter window.

Liverpool’s valuation exceeds the approximately €12 million they paid Juventus for his services in 2024.

Chiesa remains under contract until June 2028, although his substantial salary could complicate negotiations with interested clubs.

A return to Italy could provide Chiesa with greater opportunities to rebuild his career through regular football.

Inter appear best positioned at present, but competition from other Serie A clubs could intensify before January.
