Arsenal prepared to pay £46m to sign 10-goal/assist winger, Gunners convinced about him

Arsenal are convinced about signing RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Gunners signed a new left winger in Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge last summer. He fared well with four assists in all competitions before suffering a hamstring injury.

This has left them without a specialist left winger in recent weeks after the club decided to offload both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli in the last transfer window.

Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke have provided good cover for Tzolis, but manager Mikel Arteta may ideally want another specialist option to compete for the position.

Tuttomercatoweb now claim that Arsenal are ‘convinced’ about signing Nusa to bolster the wide attacking department and seem ‘serious’ about recruiting him as early as January.

Arsenal are prepared to spend £46 million to sign the Norwegian star, but Leipzig are currently holding out for at least £58.5m to part ways with their prized asset at the start of the year.

There is currently a notable gap in the valuation between the clubs, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners are willing to improve their offer to land the former Club Brugge man.

Nusa has made superb progress at Leipzig this season

The 21-year-old had a decent 2025/26 campaign with the Bundesliga outfit. He managed only five goals and four assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for Leipzig.

Nusa went on to have a good World Cup with Norway, scoring a superb long-range goal against the Ivory Coast. He has since been playing with plenty of confidence in the final third.

The young winger has featured exclusively on the left wing for Leipzig this campaign. He has already made 10 goal contributions in just 12 matches, surpassing last season’s club tally.

Nusa has impressed on and off the ball this term. He has a tireless work rate and has won almost six duels per league game. He has likewise impressed with an average of two dribbles per Bundesliga outing.

His attacking contributions and defensive output make him an ideal player for the Gunners.

Hence, we are not surprised that Arsenal are prepared to spend £46m on his services, but there is presently a £12.5m valuation gap that needs to be sorted for a winter deal to materialise.

Arsenal have two months to find a middle ground with Leipzig. The German side can be stubborn with their price tags, but the Gunners will hope to secure a small discount come January.
