Barcelona are accelerating efforts to commercialise the VIP hospitality areas at the Spotify Camp Nou, with the club targeting a significant new revenue stream as they continue working to meet their financial commitments.

According to SPORT, the Catalan giants have intensified negotiations with several companies over the marketing of premium seating rights, with the operation potentially generating €80 million in initial payments.

The initiative involves offering businesses long-term rights to use VIP seats for periods of 15 or 30 years.

Apart from the initial payments, Barcelona could also secure substantial recurring income, with estimates suggesting the new package could generate between €50 million and €60 million annually.

According to information discussed, Barcelona are preparing to commercialise approximately 2,000 additional VIP spaces aimed at corporate clients.

The club considers these areas available for use from the current season and next season, making their sale an immediate commercial priority.

Once the stadium is fully completed, Spotify Camp Nou is expected to have approximately 9,500 VIP seats.

Notably, around 5,000 have already been contracted, while another 500 correspond to Personal Seat Licences (PSL).

As such, the most exclusive category, known as Loge, has already been sold out.

These premium spaces consist of four seats in a central section of the stadium, with parking included and a pricing structure involving significant initial payments and annual fees.

Camp Nou VIP prices reveal scale of Barcelona commercial operation

Barcelona’s corporate hospitality includes several categories, with prices varying according to location, facilities and associated services.

The Loge package requires an initial payment of €200,000 for a 15-year agreement or €300,000 for a 30-year agreement, alongside an annual fee of €68,000.

Players’ Zone spaces carry an annual charge of €24,000, although the initial payment has not been specified.

Other categories also involve considerable financial commitments. Premium Seats require €57,000 upfront and €19,100 annually, while Pitch Row costs €40,000 initially and €12,000 per year.

The Balcony category is priced at €24,000 upfront with an annual payment of €8,200.

Lastly, Big Ring spaces require an initial investment of €22,000, followed by annual fees of €7,000.

At the same time, the commercial benefits of expanding the VIP areas also create questions for Barcelona’s traditional members and season ticket holders.

As highlighted by the source, the operation has consequences for fans whose seats have been affected by the redevelopment.

Once the stadium becomes fully operational, the club will need to clarify the financial conditions under which these members can regain access to their seats, alongside the locations they will be allocated.

Furthermore, the expansion of the presidential box is another important consideration. Its capacity has tripled to approximately 300 seats, reducing the space available for conventional season ticket holders.

Consequently, Barcelona face two significant decisions: determining where affected members will sit and establishing how much they will have to pay when the stadium is fully completed.

The financial opportunity is undoubtedly central to the club’s strategy, particularly given the need to generate additional income from the Spotify Camp Nou redevelopment.

However, Barcelona must also balance their commercial ambitions with the expectations of their members.
