Martin Odegaard remains a central figure at Arsenal, where he serves as captain and one of the team’s leading players. The Norwegian also captains his national side and is regarded as one of Europe’s finest midfielders. His performances and leadership would make him an attractive signing for many major clubs.
Arsenal are determined to keep their key players and have made it clear that their biggest stars are not available for transfer. However, the club’s desire to retain a player does not always settle the matter. The Gunners also need commitments from their leading figures, particularly when interest from major European sides emerges.
Odegaard is one player whose future could attract attention, with several top clubs reportedly monitoring his situation. Bayern Munich are among those linked with the midfielder, potentially creating a difficult situation for Arsenal if the German club decides to pursue him seriously.
Bayern Munich reportedly hold an interest
According to Bulinews, the former Real Madrid midfielder would be open to joining Bayern if the German club makes a serious approach. Although Odegaard is happy in North London, the report suggests he would not necessarily rule out a move if the right opportunity arose.
Bayern’s status in European football could make such an approach tempting. The club regularly competes at the highest level, and a move would give Odegaard another opportunity to challenge for major honours.

Arsenal need clarity over Odegaard’s future
For now, there is no indication that Arsenal are willing to part with their captain. They value his influence on the pitch and his leadership, and losing him would represent a major change for the squad.
Nevertheless, Arsenal cannot rely solely on their own position if another club makes an approach and the player is interested. They will want clarity about Odegaard’s intentions and a commitment that he sees his future in North London.
Players move between major clubs, even when they are important figures in their teams. Arsenal must therefore be prepared for circumstances to change, while doing what they can to keep a midfielder who remains central to their plans.
