Arsenal put in an appeal to the FA over the Max Dowman red card, and predictably, it was rejected. As a man who aggressively believes the foul on Max was disgusting, I cannot really accept that the reaction was a good one on any level… in football, if you show aggression towards another player, regardless of the challenge, you’re going to have your red card seen through if you’ve been sent off, especially if your name isn’t Cole Palmer.

My question… why can’t we go back and give the guy who made the challenge three games of ‘sit on the sidelines and think about what you did you disgusting human’? If nearly every pro in the game is saying things like ‘could have snapped his leg ’, why can’t we have a penalty for that sort of crime? How can Max be the only one in trouble for violent conduct or excessive force?
