He and Wes Edens have been crucial in the Villans establishing themselves in the Premier League and becoming a competitor in European competitions, too.

Villa won the Europa League trophy last season under Unai Emery, beating Freiburg 3-0 in Istanbul to win their first piece of European silverware since 1982.

Sawiris and Edens have helped the B6 side compete in the Champions League for multiple seasons, despite facing clear financial obstacles at Villa Park.

Even with all the off-field issues that they've had to deal with, V Sports have proved time and time again that they are one of the best owners in the Premier League.

However, Everton have just come close to knocking Sawiris and Co. down a peg at Aston Villa.

Everton's owners, the Friedkin Group, announced their plans to sell the club earlier in October, after taking over the Merseyside outfit for more than £400million less than two years ago.

While TFG have invested heavily in the Toffees, it is estimated that the club is still in £600m of debt, a figure that NSWE probably don't mind hearing about from their Premier League rivals.

Still, it is expected that Everton's Houston-based owners want around £1billion to sell the Blues, as the ultra-wealthy American businessman Michael Dell was recently linked as a potential buyer.

Dell has squashed the rumours himself on X this Wednesday, which has a direct effect on Sawiris at Villa.

That's because Dell, who, according to Forbes, has a whopping net worth of £178bn, ranks as the fifth-richest man in the whole world behind Elon Musk and others.

This would have knocked Sawiris down a place in ranks in the Premier League as one of the most wealthy owners in the top flight.

There are other Premier League bosses ahead of Aston Villa's chairman, with Sheikh Mansour at Manchester City valued at £15bn.

The only others ahead of Sawiris are Stan Kroenke of Arsenal (£10bn) and Sir Jim Ratcliffe of Manchester United (£9.7bn).

But what is Sawiris' worth?

What is the latest update on Sawiris' net worth?

Sawiris was previously worth a reported £6.7bn, but this has since risen.

The Villa co-owner now has a net worth of £7bn in a fresh report from Forbes.

While he hasn't overtaken any other Premier League owners, he has preserved his rank following the news around Dell's rumoured move to Everton.
