Hello and welcome to our weekly Manchester City Academy Notebook.
Hopefully you are now familiar with our Saturday offering of the latest from City's Under-21 and Under-18 sides. We bring you news, analysis, snippets and interviews every week and today we bring you news of a new keeper, reflect on a midweek horror show in the EFL Trophy and look ahead to a crucial UEFA Youth League match next week.
City's Under-21s were thumped 5-0 by Port Vale in midweek to exit the trophy and many of that squad will hope to respond in Germany when the Blues take on RB Leipzig in a UEFA Youth League contest - which is an under-19 competition. More on that to come but first, a fresh face in the ranks.
