Man City are not planning any major changes even though a verdict on their appeal against the Premier League's charges looms in the new year, sources have told Football Insider.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, the club are not planning to change anything in the coming months even though a final verdict is set to be reached in the early stages of 2027.
City have continued to deny any wrongdoing despite being found guilty of the charges and will remain confident of a positive outcome until the verdict is released.
Man City relaxed about Premier League charges as Enzo Maresca's team impresses
Maresca has been forced to bat away constant questions about the situation in his recent press conferences.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "It’s just an ongoing process right now, this Manchester City thing. It’s in the background, as we know, but to be fair to City and the players, I think they've dealt with it really well. They've carried on with their business, got the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup and are top of the league as well.
"There’s no panic from Manchester City over these things. They still insist they have got irrefutable evidence that will exonerate them of all these charges. The appeal is ongoing.
"The Premier League are hoping to have that verdict on the appeal early in the new year, and then obviously the next steps after that will be what is the final decision of the appeal if you if they have got off the charges or not, or then obviously then it'll be see what sanctions are possibly coming their way."
The Premier League want to get the appeal wrapped up before the campaign ends due to the impact the punishment could have on the final standings.
City are also set to be hit with an extended transfer ban and an astronomical fine, which would keep them much less competitive than usual for several seasons.
