David Moyes looks on during Everton vs Bournemouth
Tyler Dibling will be hoping he has done enough to earn his first Premier League start of the season for Everton at Newcastle United on Monday night.
Fresh from taking on each other in the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening, the sides go head-to-head once again as they meet at St James' Park looking to improve on their positions in the league table.
Everton will be attempting to follow up their 3-1 cup victory with another win over the Magpies, while Matthias Jaissle's side need to immediately bounce back from their defeat on Merseyside following a poor run of late.
The headline news ahead of the fixture was the decision to axe Jack Grealish from the Everton squad due to "a breach of club discipline".
The Toffees did not miss the 31-year-old, however, as David Moyes' team impressed on the night to secure a final eight Carabao Cup showdown against League Two side Fleetwood Town.
Amid calls from fans to unleash the likes of Hayden Hackney, Tyrique George and Dibling from the start, Moyes did exactly that with a rather youthful attack.
In the case of Dibling, regular minutes have been very hard to come by since making the move from Southampton to Everton.
The winger has been restricted to only 46 minutes across three Premier League appearances this season, though, despite catching the eye in pre-season and looking a more improved player than he was last campaign.
Handed a big opportunity against Newcastle in Grealish's absence, the 20-year-old fared OK but left fans wanting more as he struggled to get fully involved at times.
He did show glimpses of what he can do on the ball going forward, however, with George on the other flank the pick of the wingers with a lively display.

Receiving a score of six out of ten in Liverpool Echo's player ratings, they wrote: "Showed some flashes of quality, but struggled to get into the game at times."
Whether he has done enough to start again against Newcastle United will become clear on Monday evening.
Dibling needs a sustained run in the team to recapture the form he showed at Southampton when breaking through and a stop-start season is not going to bring the very best out of him.
When it comes to Everton's other wingers, Brennan Johnson has not exactly caught the eye following his move from Crystal Palace and it remains to be seen if Grealish will return to the matchday squad for the trip to the north east.
One thing for certain is that Moyes needs to increase Dibling's minutes in the weeks and months ahead if he is to excel on Merseyside.

Moyes, as expected, did not give much away about Grealish's absence when speaking in his post-match press conference.
Everton confirmed ahead of the game that his omission from the squad was due to a breach of club discipline, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that this was due to him not turning up for a scheduled training session.
"You probably know I'm not going to give any details," said Moyes. "It's a club decision. I support the decision, but it's a club decision. It's something that I don't want to speak too much about. The club are the people you should go to."
All eyes will now be on Grealish's place in the Everton squad at Newcastle on Monday evening and whether Dibling retains his place in the XI.
