Chelsea vs Manchester United: Confirmed Starting XIs For Premier League Clash

Chelsea are looking to bounce back from a difficult week. Alonso’s side lost 2-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, then went out of the Carabao Cup on penalties at Liverpool on Wednesday night. They are fifth in the table with 13 points from their first eight games (W4 D1 L3).
Manchester United arrive in west London under pressure. Michael Carrick kept his job despite the 3-0 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth, which left United 16th with seven points from eight games. They are winless in eight matches in all competitions (D3 L5), and another game without a win would be the first time they have gone nine without one this century.
United have had the better of this fixture recently. Chelsea have won just two of their last 17 league meetings (D8 L7), the latest a 1-0 win in May 2025. United did the league double last season, winning 2-1 at Old Trafford in September and 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in April.
Chelsea’s confirmed absentees going into the game are Maxence Lacroix (hamstring), Jorrel Hato, Aaron Anselmino and Emiliano Martinez, with Reece James (knee), Joao Pedro (thigh) and Jamie Gittens (ankle) also out. Pep Chavarria and Moises Caicedo are available, and Cole Palmer returns from suspension.
