Jack Grealish missed a pretty big party on Thursday night.
The on-loan Everton star was absent from the Blues squad that took on Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup, where goals from James Garner, Hayden Hackney and Thierno Barry secured a 3-1 win and qualification for the last eight, where a tie against fourth tier Fleetwood Town awaits.
The official reason Everton gave for Grealish's absence was a breach of club discipline, and the ECHO has learned that Grealish did not attend a training session after being unavailable for the 2-0 defeat away to Arsenal through illness.

That breach of discipline, as well as other reported absences, has led to many questioning the future of Grealish at the club, where he is on loan for a second successive season from Manchester City.
Speaking after the Newcastle win, David Moyes remained tight-lipped on the matter, saying only: “You probably know I am not going to give any details. It is a club decision and I support it.”

The 63-year-old added: “It is something I don’t want to speak too much about.”
Enzo Maresca, technically still Grealish's club boss at Manchester City, also spoke about the matter, saying: I still think that he’s a good guy, good boy, big heart. I still think that"
But after this indiscretion, what should Everton do with Grealish now?
Do they seek to sign him at the end of the season, when he will be available on a free transfer? Do they keep him at the club for the duration of his loan deal but not make a permanent move? Or do they cancel the loan in January, or even immediately?
