The Frenchman has been tasked as the main man to lead the line, with the Blues not signing another striker.

He has notched seven goals this season, and struck in the 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Newcastle on Thursday.

Three of those have come in the Premier League, with a further four in the first domestic cup of the campaign.

Everton often take to TikTok to show his dance moves and celebrations off to their supporters.

However, Pickford has launched a savage dig over his performances in training, after the recent hype around Barry's performance.

What did Jordan Pickford say about Everton star Thierno Barry?

Asked about Barry's celebrations, which often go viral on social media, Pickford's response was a savage dig.

In an interview with Men In Blazers, the host said: "Thierno Barry seems to score only so he can bring back one iconic dance move after another. Does he workshop these on the training ground.”

Pickford replied, saying: “I don’t let them score often in training.”

It a tongue in cheek comment, but it shows the ruthlessness which the England number one operates with, both on and off the pitch.

Why Barry may only get better and better

Barry launched a defiant message after his home was burgled while he was playing against the Magpies.

He claimed that nothing and no one will stop him from success this season, which will encourage Toffees supporters, if he can back it up on the field.

The incident may well inspire him to perform even better, which will only benefit David Moyes' side in the long run.

He is clearly doing something right on the training pitch too, despite Pickford's comments, as he is regularly having great moments on the pitch.

Even when he does not play well, he still seems to make things happen, and that is best possible outcome for a player who is still adapting to the Premier League.

Hopefully, he can take his game to another level in the coming weeks and fire the L3 outfit up the table, towards the European places, which is their ultimate admission.

That would be ultimate message to Pickford and any detractors that he still has after a miserable campaign last season, if he could score a lot of goals and help the Toffees to achieve their ambitions.
