FC Barcelona will be kicking off their game [against Deportivo Alaves](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/fc-barcelona-vs-deportivo-alaves-match-preview-la-liga/) soon. Both teams will be trying to get some points here, but the Catalan giants will want to put up a show for their own fans at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Currently second in the league, La Blaugrana desperately need some points here to regain their spot at the top of the table. Unfortunately, Hansi Flick has had to make some rather unusual rotations for this game and it will be interesting to see how they pan out.
Here is the [official starting lineup](https://x.com/FCBarcelona/status/2116602422638366940?s=20) for the Catalan side.
In goal, Joan Garcia starts in between the sticks and the Spaniard has looked solid even in the team’s recent defeats. Heading into this game, his presence in the goal will be crucial for Barça’s confidence.
Across the backline, Pau Cubarsi and Frenkie de Jong start together to make up the defensive partnership. Both of them will need to communicate well and ensure that they tend to their duties efficiently.
On the flanks, Joao Cancelo and Brian Farinas start for the Catalans and will have a lot to do. Both of them will have a lot of ground to cover, and Barça will have to depend on them to add value to the flanks.
In the midfield, Rodri and Pedri start together in the double-pivot and both players will be looking to dictate the game. In front of them, Fermin Lopez starts as the team’s primary central attacking midfielder.
Ahead of them, Lamine Yamal and Karim Adeyemi occupy the wings and they will be looking to add some bite to the team’s attacks. Both of them have their own unique strengths, and they will both be needed here.
Lastly, up top, Raphinha starts for Barcelona and the Brazilian forward will want to keep scoring and regaining his momentum for the games up ahead. Barça really need to start winning again, and their captain will be key to that.
