Arsenal compiled a 21-player shortlist this summer and signed none of them, according to a BBC Sport report by Sami Mokbel.

The list ran from Morgan Rogers to Vinicius Junior, and 11 of the 21 were attacking players.

Rogers joined Chelsea for £117m. Bradley Barcola moved to Liverpool for £106m up front, in a package that can reach £123m.

Vinicius Junior signed a new six-year contract at Real Madrid in August, and Julian Alvarez stayed at Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal instead signed Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa, Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier, and made Piero Hincapie’s loan deal permanent.

Tzolis was their only attacking addition before the window closed on 1 September.

Arsenal were also one of the clubs tracking PSG right-back David Boly, according to Hand of Arsenal. The report says the 17-year-old looks set to sign a new deal as things stand.

Boly was born on 22 January 2009. He made his professional debut on 20 December 2025, in a Coupe de France tie against Fontenay.

He made his Ligue 1 debut on Friday, coming on for Achraf Hakimi in the 71st minute of PSG’s 5-1 win at Le Havre. Luis Enrique said Boly improves every time he trains with the first team.

L’Equipe reports that he has received a very high initial offer, well above what PSG normally give young players. RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins says Boly sees PSG as the biggest club in the world and wants a long-term future there.

Foot01 reports that Boly wants more Ligue 1 playing time before accepting. It says he has not ruled out leaving on a free transfer next summer if he does not get it.

Barcelona followed his progress for months. Le Parisien reported in April that they seemed particularly determined to sign him. Bayern Munich have also been named as an interested club.
