Arsenal are among the clubs monitoring highly rated Paris Saint-Germain defender David Boly, although the French champions are making progress towards securing his long-term future.
According to HandofArsenal on X, the Gunners have been tracking the 17-year-old right-back, who is now expected to remain in Paris by signing a new contract.
Boly is considered one of PSG’s most promising academy graduates and has attracted attention from several European clubs following his impressive development.
Barcelona have also been linked with the French youngster, with Mundo Deportivo reporting earlier this year that the Spanish giants had been closely following his progress.
However, PSG are determined to retain Boly and are working towards an agreement that would strengthen their control over his future.
According to RMC Sport, the Ligue 1 champions are negotiating the defender’s first professional contract, with a five-year agreement under consideration.
Boly currently has a youth contract running until 2027, making his future an important issue for the Parisian club.
The defender turns 18 in January, when PSG would be able to offer him the proposed five-year professional deal under the relevant French regulations.
Boly has already gained experience with PSG’s senior squad under Luis Enrique, having made his professional debut in the Coupe de France last season.
He also played an important role in the club’s UEFA Youth League campaign, helping PSG reach the semi-finals.
The youngster provided an assist against Real Madrid at that stage, although the French side were eventually eliminated on penalties.
His development continued on Friday when he made his Ligue 1 debut during PSG’s 5-1 victory over Le Havre.
Boly replaced Achraf Hakimi in the 71st minute, gaining another opportunity to demonstrate his potential at senior level.
The teenager’s emergence is particularly encouraging for PSG because Hakimi remains their established first-choice right-back.
Boly is viewed as a potential long-term option in that position, with the club eager to provide a pathway into the senior squad.
For Arsenal, the reported interest reflects their continued attention to emerging talent across European football.
Boly is understood to favour continuing his development in Paris rather than pursuing an immediate move elsewhere.
PSG’s determination to secure his services could therefore make any potential approach from Arsenal increasingly difficult.
With talks over his first professional contract progressing, the teenager’s immediate future appears more likely to remain at the Parc des Princes.
