Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are stepping up their recruitment plans with the January transfer window approaching. Arsenal are keen on Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, along with the likes of Julian Alvarez, Kim Min-jae, Antonio Nusa and Alberto Costa.
Chelsea could look to secure a deal for Alex Scott, while a stunning move for Trent Alexander-Arnold has also been mooted. Liverpool are believed to have made contact over Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, who came close to joining Chelsea on Deadline Day. Manchester United prospect JJ Gabriel has reportedly rejected a contract offer from Paris Saint-Germain as he dreams of joining Real Madrid.
Man Utd will wave goodbye to Gabriel as they are linked with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jacobo Ramon. Tottenham are also weighing up moves for Ibrahim Maza, Nicolo Tresoldi and Alex Freeman as they consider potential reinforcements. Follow all the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!
Man Utd delay Carrick sack decision again
The Red Devils were beaten 2-0 by the Blues on another dark day at Stamford Bridge, taking their winless run to nine matches in all competitions.
Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer got the goals as Lisandro Martinez was sent off for two bookable offences in west London as further pressure piled on the under-fire United head coach.
Now, however, it appears that he will be retained in-post for the club’s next two matches, up to the November international break.
Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel has reportedly rejected an improved offer from Paris Saint-Germain, with Real Madrid emerging as his preferred destination.
According to Sport, Gabriel’s representatives have made clear that a move to Spain is their priority with Real Madrid reportedly preparing a lucrative three-year package.
Arteta issues update on Rice contract talks
The 27-year-old has entered the final two years of his current deal, which he signed when joining the club for £105million in the summer of 2023.
Talks over a new contract began earlier this year and there has always been confidence on both sides that an agreement will be reached.
It is understood that Rice is close to signing that deal, one that will earn him a significant salary increase and take him close to Bukayo Saka on £350,000-a-week as the club's best-paid player.
Official confirmation of that extension has not yet come but Arteta is in no doubt that a positive outcome will be reached.
Alonso rules out Estevao loan after squad decision
The Brazilian has been peripheral at Chelsea this season, but has been handed a surprise start as the Blues host Man United this afternoon.
It has been reported that Estevao’s frustration with his situation had led club’s to enquire about potential January transfers, but speaking on Friday, Alonso ruled that out unequivocally.
“No discussions about that,” Alonso said at his pre-match press conference. “It’s no secret that all players want to be on the pitch.
“When any of them haven’t had enough minutes because of my decision, I have to take the responsibility for that. But everyone has to be ready because in any game they could be important. Este, his training and his attitude has been good.”

The young Spanish centre-back has been integral to Como’s remarkable Serie A rise under Cesc Fabregas, scoring in the 4-1 demolition of United in the Champions League last week.
Links between Ramon and the Premier League are certainly nothing new, with the Daily Mail now suggesting that Chelsea are the latest club to show a keen interest in his services.
It has been claimed elsewhere that Arsenal and United are also keeping a very close eye on his progress in Italy.
Liverpool make new contact over Lamine Camara
The Senegal midfielder was poised to move to Stamford Bridge for £47.1m on transfer deadline day in the summer as Xabi Alonso looked to quickly replace Enzo Fernandez, only for Monaco to unexpectedly pull the plug at the 11th hour.
According to The Sun, Liverpool have now made further contact with the player’s camp and asked to be kept closely informed of any developments moving forward.
