Tsygankov told : “I’m not sure that Mudryk will be able to play in the Ukraine national team’s upcoming matches. As far as I know, he is very keen to return to the national team as soon as possible, but to do so, he needs to get back into match fitness.
“At the moment, Mykhailo isn’t getting regular playing time, so he needs time to get back to peak condition. Whether he’ll manage to do this quickly enough before the national team’s November matches is difficult to say at this stage.”
Spurs are unlikely to greenlight Mudryk’s involvement for Ukraine
Given that Mudryk has not played competitive football for two years, it is clear that Tottenham are managing his workload carefully.
Even when the 26-year-old is back fully fit, it will likely take him a month or two to regain his rhythm and get used to the intensity of the Premier League.
The last thing the club would want is for the Chelsea loanee to pick up another injury or a niggle, which would essentially render the whole loan useless.
It would thus be surprising if Tottenham or De Zerbi greenlit Mudryk’s involvement for Ukraine in their upcoming Nations League fixtures.
