It is a pattern that has no sign of slowing down, with manager Fabian Hurzeler continuing to impress with the Premier League side.

But one may be more surprising to most, especially given his position in the Brighton pecking order.

The win against Man City was another excellent step in this player's trajectory.

Malick Junior Yalcouye may not have started against Man City, but his substitute appearance in the 72nd minute caught the eye.

However, even when not selected to feature from the first whistle, he still manages to have quite the impact.

As per FotMob, the 20-year-old proved to be a tremendous hard worker, winning four of five ground duels - 80 per cent success - in his limited cameo.

To put it into perspective, only Maxim De Cuyper and Chema Andres won more ground duels, with only one more, despite starting the match.

Yalcouye must be in line for a Brighton start

Yalcouye has earned the right to start for Brighton in their next fixture, and with it being in Europe, there is no better time for Hurzeler to rotate.

Brighton are flying in the league, and if they want to continue that impressive form, they must be wise not to let fatigue and tiredness kick in.

Yalcouye is ready to be handed a more prominent role, and he can reward his manager if he shows that faith against Getafe on 5 November.

As we have seen time and time again, Yalcouye may end up being next on the list of Brighton stars to emerge and be sold for those mega-million-pound fees.
