That is according to former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Blues' "patchy" form has contributed to Xabi Alonso's early pressure.
Supporters were furious when Alonso brushed off his side's penalty shootout defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, claiming it as the club's "least important" competition this season.
The Spaniard is probably right in the grand scheme of things, but when there's no European football or high chance of winning the Premier League, fans are desperate for any type of silverware.
His comments sparked fury, bringing his job into question after just 11 matches, but there is very little chance that he gets sacked already.
The Chelsea owners, however, may still be keeping an eye on Maresca's situation, given how he left Stamford Bridge to join the Citizens in the summer.
Chelsea keeping tabs on Enzo Maresca
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson believes that all Premier League managers are under the same pressure, but Maresca's start to the campaign will be catching some attention.
"I think the pressure can build quite quickly at Chelsea. It's not that unusual. All of these clubs have got the same issue," he said.
"But maybe when they look at the Enzo Maresca situation at Man City and see how they've started, they go, 'Well, hang on, what's going on here?'
"And they've just been quite patchy. I think what's been part of the problem is they've been very up and down.
"One minute they look like they're actually pretty decent. Next minute they look like they're actually quite weak and poor."
Several major bookmakers have the 44-year-old priced at 80/1 to be the next Premier League manager sacked, making him one of the least likely.
That, of course, could change very quickly in the Premier Leauge, but it seems unlikely with so many talented stars at his disposal.
