The Whites have taken just three points from the past 15 on offer in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke's side were most recently defeated 2-0 away at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds failed to offer up much of an attacking threat all game, bar a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal that was rightly ruled out for offside.

It is now back-to-back games without a goal for Leeds, while they have not scored more than once in a match in seven of their past eight league outings.

Supporters are aware that the attackers are just not clicking right now, but the situation is perhaps a lot worse than many realised.

Leeds' final-third woes clear for all to see

Opta's Jonny Cooper has crunched the figures to help highlight just how bad Leeds have been in one area.

As pointed out by Cooper via X on Monday, of all 96 teams across Europe's top-five big leagues - the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 - Leeds are 95th in terms of final-third passing accuracy.

Leeds have completed just 56.9 per cent of their passes in the final third of the field.

That really is a "damning statistic", as Cooper himself puts it, and undoubtedly helps to explain why Leeds are struggling right now.

Of all the damning statistics around Leeds' final third play this season, the one that sticks out is that of the 96 teams in Europe's big-five leagues, Leeds rank 95th for final third passing accuracy (56.9%); just in the Premier League, they are 20th. #lufc https://t.co/GzN6gfYT7i— Jonny Cooper (@JRCooper26) November 2, 2026

That really is an eye-opening figure, but who is most to blame for it?

Leeds' biggest issue was clear to see vs Bournemouth

Cooper's findings came on the back of LUFC Data posting some separate figures over the weekend.

In the defeat at the Vitality Stadium, 45 per cent of Leeds' 99 passes in the final third went backwards.

The same account points out that only three of Leeds' 42 completed passes in the final third went through the middle.

This is on Farke to sort out. Leeds have a number of talented attackers in their ranks, albeit some are not anywhere near their peak levels.

But the job of a manager is to spot the issues and fix them using what he has.
