BREAKING: William Saliba in Contention for Arsenal Return This Week
William Saliba could return for Arsenal this week, ahead of his expected recovery time.
William Saliba is in contention to make his first appearance of the season for Arsenal in Wednesday's Champions League trip to Slavia Prague, according to HandofArsenal.
The French defender could also be involved in the Premier League clash with Hull City at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
His involvement will depend on how he comes through the coming training sessions, with Arsenal not willing to rush him back.
Saliba has not played this season after suffering a back injury in the summer, though the player and the club opted against him undergoing surgery.
Arsenal have coped without him, keeping clean sheets in eight of their first 14 games in all competitions, with Gabriel Magalhães partnered alongside summer signing Ezri Konsa.
The Gunners head to Prague with seven points from their opening three Champions League games, and sit three points clear at the top of the Premier League after Sunday's 1-0 win at Liverpool.
