Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that Bukayo Saka is still several weeks away from returning to fitness.
The winger was forced off with a quad injury during the 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich last month, and speaking prior to the win over Liverpool, Arteta said that Saka still needs to undergo further assessment before an exact timeline for his return can be given:
‘As I said, he needs another scan to see how the amount of fluid that was there was resolving – whether the tendon is touched and how badly it is touched. Afterwards, we know more. It looks like [he could miss out on England duty], but we have to wait and see next week.”
Initial reports claimed that Saka could be out for up to six weeks, which would suggest a return at the beginning of next month.
Expected Return Date – Early December

William Saliba
Various sources have indicated that the Frenchman is now back in full training after recovering from a back injury.
Arteta did suggest that he was hoping to have Saliba back in the group before the international break, and that has proven to be the case.
Considering that the defender has spent three and a half months on the sidelines, it would be a surprise to see him in the matchday squad for the match against Slavia Prague on Wednesday night, or the last game before the international break against Hull City this weekend.
The medical team will be keen to manage Saliba’s fitness carefully, but there is now a very good chance that the centre-half will be in contention to start games again later this month, barring any unforeseen setbacks.
Expected Return Date – Saturday 21st November vs Newcastle (a)
