Barcelona manager Hansi Flick confirmed that Rodri picked up an issue against Aston Villa and is set for tests ahead of Sunday’s game against Atletico Madrid.

Rodri went off at half-time of Tuesday’s Champions League match and was replaced by Marc Bernal. It’s been reported he had a minor calf injury and Flick offered a brief update after the 3-0 win.

“Rodri has noticed some muscular discomfort and we have to wait until tomorrow,” he told Movistar. “We have four days to recover and prepare well for the match.”

Barcelona must now wait to see if Rodri will be fit to play in their final game before the international break against Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

It’s a crucial game in La Liga with Diego Simeone’s side just two points behind Barcelona in the table after 11 games.

Atletico were also in Champions League action on Tuesday, going down 2-0 to Bayern Munich in the Spanish capital.
