Arsenal have been linked with a January move for Eli Junior Kroupi, who was the highest-scoring teenager in the Premier League last season and has attracted considerable attention with his performances for Bournemouth.
The youngster has consistently demonstrated his quality and established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in English football. Arsenal were impressed by his displays for the Cherries last season and reportedly considered making a move for him at the end of the campaign.
However, Bournemouth were unwilling to sell, and Kroupi subsequently suffered an injury during pre-season that kept him out of action for several weeks.
Bournemouth reluctant to sell Kroupi in January
The Frenchman has recently returned to action, but Arsenal could struggle to secure his signature during the January transfer window.
According to Football Insider, the Gunners would have a better chance of signing him if they wait until the end of the season.
The report claims Bournemouth have no intention of allowing Kroupi to leave in January. Their immediate priority is to help him regain his fitness, return to regular football and rediscover the goalscoring form that made him such an exciting prospect.
The Cherries are therefore expected to resist any approaches during the winter transfer window as they look to retain an important member of their squad.

Arsenal must prepare for summer competition
Arsenal remain interested in strengthening their attacking options, and Kroupi could become an attractive target when the season concludes.
However, the Gunners are unlikely to be the only club monitoring his progress. Several other sides could enter the race for his signature if he returns to his best form over the coming months.
That means Arsenal must be prepared to compete for his services and potentially face significant opposition when the summer transfer window opens.
For now, Bournemouth appear determined to keep the youngster, meaning a January move to the Emirates Stadium looks unlikely.
