Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has two remaining doubts when it comes to his starting XI to take on Atlético Madrid this weekend.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards right-back and defensive midfield as the two positions in question.
When it comes to the former, the most logical option would be for the impressive Brian Fariñas to continue in his new full-back role at the Metropolitano.
Eric García, though, is closing on a return to fitness, and could yet slot straight back in on the right of Barca’s backline to provide more experience.
Turning focus towards midfield, and with Rodri sidelined, Marc Bernal is the chief candidate to step into the deep-lying role.
Another serious option, which would again serve in providing more experience in what is expected to be a heated atmosphere in Madrid, though, is Frenkie de Jong.
Dutchman De Jong is now back to full fitness, and ready to step back into his favoured position at the base of Barcelona’s midfield.
