The Milwaukee Bucks are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-25 record. Milwaukee would face the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs if the season ended today.

The Bucks are looking to avoid getting bounced in the first round of the NBA playoffs for the third consecutive season. If they do get bounced again, there will be many questions about the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard need to stay healthy if they want to have a chance in the postseason.

Sportingnews.com writer Anthony Pasciolla thinks that the Bucks could decide to make an impulsive move this offseason. If they don’t get past the first round of the NBA playoffs again, he thinks it is quite possible. Pasciolla said:
“The Milwaukee Bucks are the No. 4 seed in the top-heavy Eastern Conference, giving them a decent shot to come out of the postseason victorious, assuming the roster remains healthy.
However, there’s also a strong chance the Bucks draw a tough second-round matchup, leading to yet another early playoff exit. If this occurs, superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo could request a trade out of Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo is in his prime at 30 years old while All-Star guard Damian Lillard has even less time to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy at age 34.
Because of this possible circumstance, Yahoo Sports’ Tom Haberstroh proposed a three-team blockbuster involving Antetokounmpo and Lillard. While this move was pitched prior to the Feb. 6 trade deadline, the Bucks potentially coming up short in the postseason means it will remain a plausible route for all parties involved.”
Would a trade be worth it for the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason, if it involved trading away Giannis Antetokounmpo or Damian Lillard? It remains to be seen if that is the case.

Before the trade deadline, Yahoo Sports Tom Habersoth created a mock trade between the Bucks, the Houston Rockets, and the Golden State Warriors. Habersoth said before the trade deadline:
“Let’s get crazy. Giannis Antetokounmpo to Golden State, Damian Lillard to Houston and Reed Sheppard, Jonathan Kuminga, Fred VanVleet and a bevy of first-round picks go to Milwaukee.
The new ownership in Milwaukee hears Giannis getting all starry-eyed wanting international players going to the top markets and says fine, with Khris Middleton’s unreliability, it’s time to hit the reset button and build the franchise in its own vision.
Houston gets Lillard, the elite 3-point shooter and gravitational pull they so desperately need. Steph gets his Luka in the form of the Greek Freak (Antetokounmpo’s agency also represents Curry, by the way). Milwaukee’s second apron restrictions may complicate matters, but that’s what the three teams’ cap gurus are billed for.”
There is a chance that Antetokounmpo could be dealt this offseason. With the Warriors trading for Jimmy Butler, that feels unlikely. However, with the Houston Rockets wanting to potentially contend soon in the Western Conference, Houston could be a player for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, or Kevin Durant this offseason also.
