After a quiet January window, Arne Slot will be looking to make a big splash in the summer window.
Joe Gomez’s injury issues and Virgil van Dijk’s uncertain future have seen Liverpool seemingly turn their attention to bolstering their defensive ranks.
It seems like a left-sided defender is high on Slot’s radar with Jorrel Hato being linked with Liverpool heavily over recent weeks.
David Hancko has also been touted for Liverpool, in what would be a reunion with his former Feyenoord manager.
Despite Hancko speaking with Slot last summer, it now seems like the Slovakian defender will be moving elsewhere.

Juventus agree deal with Liverpool target David Hancko
After Hancko revealed his dream about playing for Liverpool – it seemed inevitable that Slot would bring his former defender along with him to Anfield.
The move, however, never materialised and Hancko has since bagged himself another transfer, after it was revealed that Juventus had agreed a deal to sign the 27-year-old.
That is according to TuttoSport, who claim that the Italian giants have agreed a £20.5m deal for the defender, who will join the Old Lady in June before the Club World Cup.

Liverpool should go all in for Jorrel Hato after Hancko’s Juventus move
Hancko’s impending Juventus move means Liverpool can now scratch his name off their defensive wishlist.
With that being said, the Reds would be wise to turn their attention to another defensive target – namely Jorrel Hato.
As previously mentioned, Slot’s side have been linked with the Ajax defender extensively over the past few months and could now step up their efforts with Hancko out of the picture.

Still only 18-years-old, Liverpool are currently scouting Hato ahead of a potential summer move and the Dutchman could be the perfect pickup for the Reds.
Able to play left-back or centre-back, Hato could provide Slot with some much needed cover in both positions – something the Liverpool squad currently lacks.
