**Enzo Maresca believes the return of his injured Chelsea stars will provide a huge boost for the run-in to the season.**
Benoit Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah [**both travelled to Denmark**](https://www.westlondonsport.com/chelsea/badiashile-returns-as-palmer-and-chalobah-join-chelseas-conference-league-squad) for the first leg of the Conference League round of 16 tie against Copenhagen.
Badiashile has not played since early December after picking up an injury in training, while Chalobah was sidelined for last week’s 4-0 win against Southampton.
Head coach Maresca has confirmed the two defenders will both be available to play on Thursday evening.
Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia, meanwhile, are also close to making their returns.
The pair have not been included in the squad for the knockout stages of the Conference League, as Chelsea continue to manage their workloads following long-term injuries.
“Wes is not in the squad, but he is back,” Maresca confirmed on Wednesday.
“Romeo has started to train with us in the last two days. So slowly, slowly, we are getting all the players back, and that is important for the final rush of the season.”
Maresca added that he expects to have everyone back after the international break, and that the returning players will be a “huge boost”.
He said: “Unfortunately, our bad moment started with the amount of injuries.
“Now, some of them are back, and some are in the process of coming back.
“It’s a huge boost for me, but also for the players. You see your team-mates – the ones who were playing in the first six, seven months of the season when we were second – are slowly coming back.
“It’s important for the final rush of the season and hopefully after the international break, they can all be available.
“From now on, all the Conference League and Premier League games are important.
“We are going to take them one by one, until the end, and try to win as many games as possible.”
