LA PLATA, Maryland — **Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc**., traditionally a satellite subcontractor, has seen a surprising growth in demand for full satellite systems from U.S. government customers that in 2025 may offset the decline in the company’s commercial space and satellite division, Kratos Chief Executive Eric M. DeMarco said.

The rising tide of government demand for satellite capacity of every kind apparently has transformed Kratos into a prime contractor, at least for now.
