Arsenal target Joshua Kimmich has reportedly been offered a chance to leave Bayern Munich this summer.
The 30-year-old is coming to the end of his contract at the Allianz Area, having last extended his deal in 2021. Besides Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid are thought to be keeping tabs on the midfielder's situation.
With no breakthrough in negotiations, it appears he could be set to depart the Bundesliga champions. Kimmich is free to discuss pre-contract agreements with clubs outside Germany.
While Sky Germany claim Arsenal have 'already held discussions' with his representatives, Paris Saint-Germain have 'submitted' a formal offer. The Ligue 1 giants are believed to have tabled a four-year deal and would have 'little difficulty' matching his current €20million (£16m) annual salary.
Kimmich is yet to respond to PSG's proposal but Bayern remain hopeful of reaching an agreement for him to stay. A fresh round of talks is scheduled for Thursday after indications from Kimmich that he'd prefer to remain at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern legend Lothar Matheus has encouraged the German international to reject any advances and extend his stay in Bavaria. "At Bayern, the pending contract extension with Joshua Kimmich is currently the biggest problem. Kimmich has to make a decision," he penned in his column for Sky in Germany.
"There is no more grey, only black or white. He has been given time but at some point patience runs out. Both sides have lawyers who can write a contract down to the smallest detail within a week. Since I have known Bayern, they have rarely waited as long for players as they have now for Kimmich. Now the time has come to make a decision.
"I don't know what Kimmich is still waiting for, what little details are involved. There is no other club that can offer him better prospects than Bayern."
