On Wednesday, it was reported that the Chicago Bears were tendering offers to exclusive rights free agents Bill Murray and Daniel Hardy.
FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz reported that linebacker Hardy would be returning, and Tom Pelissero reported that offensive lineman Murray would be back in the Windy City.
Hardy tied for the team lead with 11 special teams’ tackles, and he also blocked a punt and forced a fumble.
Murray had a nice camp and preseason, and he played in three games for the Bears before landing on injured reserve with a pectoral injury. The converted defensive tackle could be a sleeper for a roster spot in 2025.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Ford and cornerback Ameer Speed are Chicago’s only remaining ERFAs.
It was previously reported that the Bears would not tender an offer to restricted free agent linebacker Jack Sanborn. Other Chicago RFAs awaiting word are defensive lineman Chris Williams, cornerback Josh Blackwell and Jaylon Jones, and center Doug Kramer.
