The Cleveland Browns will look to improve an offensive line that allowed the most pressures, the most QB hits, and the second-most sacks last season. Cleveland does have their ideal starting five offensive linemen under contract for the 2025 season, but there is one caveat. The Browns’ O-line faces uncertainty since they are headed toward a rebuild, and cutting Jack Conklin and Ethan Pocic frees up roughly $9.2 million in cap space, per Over The Cap.

Seven-time Pro Bowl and two-time First-Team All-Pro left guard Joel Bitonio contemplated retirement after completing his 11th season in the NFL. Bitonio had a solid 2024 campaign, but he is getting up there in age, turning 33 in October, and he isn’t the same player he once was. He surrendered 32 pressures, 24 hurries, five QB hits, and five sacks allowed while posting a 70.2 pass blocking, a 59.6 run blocking, and a 63.9 overall PFF grade in 17 starts. The star guard was named to his seventh Pro Bowl selection.

On X, the Browns announced that Joel Bitonio is returning for the 2025 season. After contemplating retirement, the potential future Hall of Famer will return for his 12th season with Cleveland, a massive boost for the offensive line. Following the conclusion of his 12th season, he is set to hit free agency, and we will be having the same conversation around this time next year.
