Arne Slot hailed his goalkeeper after he helped Liverpool claim a sensational win
Arne Slot has labelled Alisson as the best goalkeeper in the world - a view shared by Liverpool's match winner Harvey Elliott.
The Dutchman saw his team dominated in their Champions League last 16 tie as PSG looked relentless at the Parc des Princes. The French side had 27 efforts on goal, compared to just two for the visitors, yet it was the Reds who emerged as victors.
Elliott scored in the 88th minute to put Liverpool in control of the last 16 encounter, but only after Alisson has continued to deny PSG's main men. The likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele were all thwarted by the Brazilian goalkeeper.
Slot was full of praise for his No 1 and was thrilled that he could have the world's best shotstopper in his ranks, having never had that luxury in the past as a manager.

He told TNT Sports : "I don't think I've worked with a goalkeeper that has played at this level - which is normal as he's the best in the world. I had some very good players as a manager, but never had the best goalkeeper in the world, and he showed that today. I experienced once or twice where we've had to defend that much and usually you come away with a 1-0 loss, or two or three.
He then continued, with a smile: "But to come away from here with a win today was probably a bit more than we deserved."
A host of the Liverpool players ran straight to Alisson to embrace him after the full-time whistle. There was general acknowledgement that the Reds were only able to secure their win thanks to their goalkeeper.

Elliott, who needed less than a minute to score the winner after coming on as a sub, said: "I got no words to be honest, this guy he's unbelievable. The best in the world, he shows in every game. Keeps us in so many games and tonight its my opportunity to repay this man. Without him, I don't know where we'd be."
The win puts Liverpool in firm control of their tie with PSG, such is their record at Anfield, especially in Europe. The Parisians will feel as though they have a chance when they head to Merseyside, such was their dominance, but the game on English soil is likely to follow a different pattern.
