Rams GM Reportedly Shuts Door on Cooper Kupp Return

The Los Angeles Rams found a way to keep Matthew Stafford around. The same likely won't be said for Cooper Kupp, who ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday night that the franchise is still searching for a suitor for the 2021 first-team Associated Press All-Pro receiver.

Schefter wrote on X: "Rams GM Les Snead on whether there's a scenario in which Cooper Kupp returns to the team next season: 'There is a scenario, but when you get into probabilities that would be the least likely. I don't want to tell you 'no' today and then next week he's a Ram. You see what we're trying to do. We're working to try to find a partner and a next chapter for Cooper and ourselves."

As of Monday, according to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Denver Broncos (+300) had the best odds to acquire Kupp. Following were the Detroit Lions (+550), New England Patriots (+650), Kansas City Chiefs (+750), Washington Commanders (+800), and Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers (+850).

"I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships," Kupp said Monday on X. "I don't agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA.

"Still, if there's one thing that I have learned over the years: there are so many things that are out of your control, but it is how you respond to these things that you will look back on and remember. ... Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come."

Kupp was the MVP of Super Bowl LVI. He's dealt with injuries the past three seasons and had a career-low 710 receiving yards in 2024.
