‘Happy Gilmore’ Star Makes His Thoughts on Travis Kelce Very Clear

Earlier Wednesday morning brothers Jason and Travis Kelce dropped the latest episode of their "New Heights" podcast where the latter opened up on his decision to return to the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2025 NFL season.

"I think the biggest thing is that I [expletive] love playing the game of football," he explained while admitting he didn't play his best in the team's 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

"I love playing, I still feel like I can play at a high level. And possibly at a higher level than I did last year, I don't think it was my best outing. I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. I just, you know, I wanna give it a good run."

While Kelce prepares for another season, the field isn't the only creative outlet for the future Hall of Fame tight end. Kelce will be making a cameo in the "Happy Gilmore" sequel coming this summer.

Ahead of his cameo appearance, Kelce received a rave review from actor Christopher McDonald who plays Shooter McGavin.

"I'm gonna give him thumbs up on his acting chops," McDonald told Us Weekly over the weekend. "He was surprisingly good and he's way too handsome for a football player."

McDonald admitted he had a "lovely" time meeting Kelce, but wasn't too thrilled that his Chiefs keep beating McDonald's favorite team - the Buffalo Bills.

"He's a great guy. I had a lovely time meeting him," he said of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. "I'm a fan - although his team keeps beating my Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen? Now that's a rockstar quarterback right there."

The sequel is slated for release on July 25.
