Milos Kerkez
Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth is reportedly on Liverpool's radar
Liverpool fought hard to come away with a 1-0 lead against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last-16 first leg. Arne Slot's side were dominated throughout the first half who had gone into the clash unbeaten since November.
They were fortunate to be behind at the break after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's goal was ruled out for offside. The hosts were also unfortunate to not have had a penalty awarded after Ibrahima Konate appeared to show his fellow Frenchman Bradley Barcola in the back.
Konate remained on the pitch after the denying a goal-scoring opportunity challenge and a VAR check. The Reds now have a crucial lead heading into the second leg tie at Anfield next week.
Here, the ECHO takes a look at the transfer news and rumours that have emerged in the last 24 hours.
Approach 'considered' for Portugal international
TEAMtalk report AC Milan winger Rafael Leao could be available for a cut price fee which is thought to have caught the Reds' attention. It's not the first time the 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield and given Luis Diaz continues to be linked with an exit, the club might have to start looking at replacements.
Leao is also said to be on Barcelona's radar, with the Spanish giants making an approach last December to express their desire to open negotiations in the summer. His signature will come at a hefty price of €100million (£83m) although that is down from a whooping €175m (£146m).
The report adds that despite his full release clause of €175m which will be activated in the summer, the Italian side have set a lower asking price.
Reds 'in the running' for Kerkez transfer
The Telegraph claim Liverpool will be one of the teams in the running for the signature of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. Fabrizio Romano revealed this week the 21-year-old is expected to leave the south coast to 'try a new chapter.'
Liverpool are likely to be in the market in the summer and have Kerkez on their radar, should they decide to bolster their defensive options. However, the Cherries are said to likely command a fee upward of £40million after an impressive campaign in the English top-flight following his move from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.
They will also face tough competition to land Dominik Szoboszlai's Hungary teammate with several clubs in Europe all alert to his situation. Kerkez could be a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson at Anfield.
